Qualifying learners will have knowledge of different plumbing materials and systems, knowledge of maintenance elements connected with plumbing, knowledge and application of plumbing tools and equipment, knowledge of measurement of quantities and procurement of materials, knowledge of building regulations, water laws and applicable plumbing specifications.
The range of typical learners include persons involved in applying and understanding the functions of plumbing systems to install, test and maintain them in a built environment.

Formative assessment: Evidence of performance will be collected continuously as Learners progress and will be considered in the final determination of the learners capabilities.
