Conduct Moderation of Outcomes-Based Assessment
The standard accredited course for moderators who quality‑assure assessments and results.
This programme equips participants with the knowledge and skills to plan and conduct moderation of outcomes-based assessments. It covers the full moderation cycle, from planning and sampling to feedback and reporting, ensuring that assessment practices meet required standards.
- Duration: 3–5 days (plus post-course Portfolio of Evidence)
- Level: NQF Level 6 (ETDP SETA Aligned, where applicable)
- Delivery: Classroom, on-site, or blended learning
- Focus Areas:
- Role and responsibilities of a moderator within the ETD system
- Planning moderation activities and developing a moderation plan
- Sampling assessment decisions, evidence and instruments
- Evaluating the quality and consistency of assessment practices
